Brokerage calculator
Estimate the real cost of an equity or F&O trade, brokerage, STT, GST, exchange and SEBI charges, stamp duty and net P&L, in one place.
For F&O, quantity is lots × lot size (e.g. NIFTY 10 lots = 750). Rates approximate Zerodha's published charges; your broker may differ slightly.
How trading charges work in India
Your net profit is never just the price difference. On every Indian trade you also pay brokerage, Securities Transaction Tax (STT), exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover fees, GST at 18% on brokerage and exchange charges, and stamp duty on the buy side. For intraday and F&O these add up fast, and they are exactly why a string of small “winning” trades can still leave you flat.
This calculator uses Zerodha's published rate structure as a reference. Delivery trades are brokerage-free; intraday and futures are charged the lower of 0.03% or ₹20 per executed order, and options are a flat ₹20 per order. Your own broker may vary slightly, so treat the output as a close estimate, not a contract note.
