Data Deletion

Last updated: 31 May 2026

You own your data and can delete it whenever you wish. This page explains how to delete your TradeFolie account and personal data, what is removed and the limited cases where we must retain certain records. It supports your right to erasure under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Delete from your account

The fastest way is from within the app: go to Settings, then your profile or privacy section, and choose “Delete account”. You can also export your data first from the same area. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

2. Request by email

If you cannot access your account, email privacy@tradefolie.com from your registered email address with the subject “Delete my data”. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request, to protect your account.

3. What gets deleted

On deletion we remove your profile, saved trades and round-trips, journal entries, tags, notes, rules, preferences and analytics derived from your data, and we revoke any stored broker connection credentials.

4. Retention exceptions

We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it, for example invoices and transaction records needed for tax, accounting and audit obligations, or information needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or enforce our Terms. Such records are kept only for as long as necessary and are then deleted or anonymised.

5. Timeline

Account deletion takes effect promptly, and residual copies in backups are removed in the ordinary backup rotation cycle, typically within 30 days. Data shared with processors is deleted in line with our agreements with them.

6. Contact

For any question about deleting your data, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@tradefolie.com.
